Frank Lynch

Frank joined Nicholas O’Donohue & Co in 1969 and was appointed a Partner in 1973. From 1988 until 2017 was the Chairman of the Board.

Since 1981 Frank has been the leader of our Property Division specialising in Property Development transactions, supervising residential conveyancing, and resolving complex conveyancing and mortgage practice legal issues. He has been recognised as an expert witness in these fields.

In 1996 he received a Certificate of Service in recognition of his significant contribution to the Law Institute of Victoria and the Legal Profession.

Frank’s experience includes: 

  • Acquisition and development of broad acres of land; 
  • Acquisition, development and resale of hotel, apartment and office building sites; 
  • Property finance, Heads of Agreement and Tripartite Agreements 
  • Subdivision and Planning 
  • Due Diligence on Property Acquisitions pre purchase 
  • Land Compensation Claims
  • State Revenue and Land Tax Reviews
  • Property rights at, below and above ground 
  • Stamp Duty and Land Tax issues
  • Not for Profit Organisations

Frank is Chair of the Property Law Disputes Resolution Panel and former Chair of the LIV Property Law Section. He takes a pragmatic approach to achieve our client’s objectives. Frank is seconded to a number of not for profit community or charity boards, is the Chairman to three managed investment schemes and periodically presents papers on Property or Mortgage Practice to young lawyers.
